Year-long Martin-mania on Spanish-Language Network
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier Spanish-language network
Telemundo and Grammy-winning superstar Ricky Martin have entered into an
exclusive alliance for coverage of his upcoming U.S. concert tour, it was
jointly announced by Nely Galan, President of Entertainment for Telemundo and
Ricardo Cordero and Angelo Medina, managers of Mr. Martin. The partnership
alliance will include exclusive interview specials and ticket give-aways, as
well as Spanish-language broadcast rights to Mr. Martin's concerts.
Having achieved massive stardom in nearly every corner of the world, and
being hailed as the front-runner in a vanguard of Latin pop stars, Telemundo
will join hit-making heart-throb Martin as he takes a triumphant lap around
the world singing his international hits and introducing songs from his new
album.
Beginning in August, Telemundo kicks off Ricky Martin's U.S. Livin' La
Vida Loca Tour with an exclusive behind-the-scenes special featuring the
crossover king's new album and private details of his year ahead crisscrossing
the globe. Then, Telemundo's own Emmy Award-winning talk show host Jaime
Bayly travels the Asian leg of Martin's tour to provide an exclusive, in-depth
one-hour interview with the pop superstar. Additionally, Telemundo will air a
revealing Ricky Martin biography full of new insights, unexpected surprises
and previously untold stories about the hottest Latin star's life, loves and
private past.
Throughout Ricky's U.S. tour, Telemundo will also broadcast exclusive
weekly updates, concert news and features about the singer on the network's
popular news and entertainment magazines' "Occurio Asi" and "Edicion
Especial." Telemundo is also the only Spanish-language network where viewers
can win tickets to see Martin perform live in their city, or win special grand
prizes to travel somewhere in the world to see him up close and personal in
concert.
